Hello all, it's really late, but I thought I'd dash off a few lines. As of today, I am now 25 pounds lighter! Yay! I don't know why I didn't do it before, but I got into my closet and began pulling out things from the back that I haven't been able to wear--and almost all of them were fitting me again! Woohoo! You know, when you have a lot to lose it seems no one notices until you've lost 30 or 40 pounds--so I wasn't even trying on my older clothes. A lot of them I'd kind of forgotten about. So I'm thrilled that I have a "new" wardrobe again, with a lot more choices!
Then tonight we went to a party given in honor of some friends of ours who had moved away and were back for a visit. Guess what? It was a pot luck! But it wasn't even that hard for me--I guess God has really given me grace for these situations. I just made green bean casserole to bring, and ate my dinner before we left--my favorite dish of spaghetti, made with beef, tomatoes and miracle noodles. Actually in a way, it was easier not to be tempted because there were so many people there to talk to, distracting me from the food. No one even noticed I wasn't eating! So it went really well. And I didn't even have to cook dinner from my family.
My husband was proud of me for reaching the -25 pound mark, and said I've almost gotten as low as him! He's been dieting on his own, and had lost 7 pounds, but has been on a plateau. I'm still hoping he will eventually join me on this adventure--but he's taking ferm plus and the NCD supplements now, so I guess he's actually kind of in a phase 1. We'll see!
Well, I could write on, but it's now after 1 a.m. again (the guys are all on the computer all the time, so sometimes I can only get on late at night when they are in bed!)
Until next time, Merry
