Down 21 pounds and counting!
Hello all, time to get updated with you again. I've had some losses and then a stall for a few days, and then today I lost 2.5 pounds, making it a total of 21 pounds lost! Yay! I am thinking that my hcg had lost potency--it was just beyond three weeks since I'd mixed it, and it wasn't doing much for me--hence, the stall. Then as soon as I mixed a new batch I had this bigger loss. So I'm learning more of the ins and outs of the protocol.
And I'm starting to feel better too, a little lighter on my feet (and I have foot problems) and just more comfortable. Also, fitting into clothes again I couldn't wear for a while. What a relief to finally have an answer to this problem. I think for years, I just felt like such a failure and had given up. Now I have new hope, and just feel so much better.
This weekend, my sister's family will come over (they live two hours away) for the holiday--Sunday into Monday--and then we'll have a Memorial Day dinner. I of course will have to eat something different from everyone else, but I'm actually okay with it. The hard part will be watching them eat fried chicken, which I love. When I eat the chicken on the protocol, it almost doesn't seem like chicken to me, because I prefer dark meat, and usually eat at least a couple of pieces! So I'm starting to look forward to phase 3 already!
I've also been talking to my sister about the protocol, and she is thinking to do it sometime. She had lost 80 pounds years ago through OA, but has gained some of it back. It would be kind of fun to do it with her. I have another friend also considering it, but her mother has been in the hospital and I think the idea is on hold right now. I'm also hoping my husband will join me in the protocol, but he's doing his own diet plan now. He's actually lost 7 pounds, so I'm glad for him.
My two sons will be out of school June 5th, I believe, and then my last shot for this round is the next day. So I'm counting down the days with them! I will be thrilled if I can get down another 10 pounds at least by then! Just in time for summer!
Well, more later--until next time, Merry

Merry,
You're doing so great! I love reading your posts - you're an inspiration, my friend. Congrats on your success so far, and best wishes for continued success as we all go through this challenge together. Great job!
Oh, Susan, that's so sweet of you! I just read your most recent post on your blog too, and was similarly encouraged! It's really important for us to feel that, too, as this marathon progresses--I still have a long way to go, which means a lot of rounds--but I'm bound and determined to get there! Congrats to you as well! --Merry
