First Loading Day Completed!

Well, yes, it's finally here, TIME to start again! YAY! I feel like it's the first day of the rest of my life, although that is a bit cliche. I had a little more problem mixing this time because I was trying it a new way--so I could inject only a little over half rather than one whole IU. Toni said that my legs would hurt less if I injected less liquid, so I had to figure out how to mix it with less liquid but to have the same potency. It was a little awkward, but I did it! And the shot didn't hurt at all! Some people ask, how can you give yourself a shot? But I find it's easier than having someone else do it--partly because I'm in control, I guess!

Anyway--loading was weird because I really have been off sugar, and kind of didn't want to even try all the "goodies" I could supposedly now have on loading day. We went out to eat at Golden Corral, and although I did have ice cream and a cookie, mostly what I wanted to eat was all the protein and fruit! My tastes really have changed.

But I got so full I didn't want to eat much else. This time I'm not trying to stuff myself silly, but just "eat to capacity" as Dr. S. says. I don't really want to gain 6 pounds again to lose again! But I guess I'll do what I have to to get off to a good start. Please check back and make comments to motivate me, because then I'll write more! I'm going to try to write more, almost every day if I can. And guess what, it's late, so I'm going to sign off now! Until next time, Merry

It's coming up soon!

Yes, I haven't started yet, but am still preparing. This week I made an appointment with my doctor, and she couldn't see me until next Thursday--so I thought I should wait until after she sees me, in case she wants to draw blood or something. I also went in to get my cholesterol checked--still waiting for results. I'm hoping that since I lost weight since the last time it was checked that the numbers will be down!

I've also been gearing up, stocking up on some of the foods I'll need. I've now got frozen fish and chicken all ready--but what I really need to order are some miracle noodles. They really keep the pipes going, something I really need in phase 2. I still have some of them, but will run out soon. Feeling the financial crunch though, so will wait to order.

And speaking of miracle noodles--they are one of my favorites even on phase 3 and 4. I discovered a wonderful way to have them and get more veggies in--I put a can of organic tomatoes in a pan, add lots of spices and an onion, a zucchini, maybe a turnip or any other vegetables I want--and cook till the veggies are tender. Then I rinse off the miracle noodles and add them in, along with grated cheddar cheese or feta cheese if i have it. YUM! Reminds me of lasagna, and so tasty. I put lots of healthy onion salt in it--or healthy garlic salt--it's the brand Redmond I think, and it doesn't raise blood pressure because it's not processed. Let me know if you want more info on that, and I'll get it.

Well, I hope to load this weekend, after the doctor appointment, and do a 30-day round. Should be exciting! Until next time, Merry

Hello, hello again!

Happy New Year to all my friends out there who are now looking to go forward with our weight loss again! I finally got off of sugar a few days after the second birthday party for my dad, and now am doing some cleansing in preparation--that means I'm taking Ferm Plus to recolonize the good microflora in my gut (apparently it gets killed somewhat by sugar consumption) and also waiting for my Candida G to arrive that was on back order.

I have to admit, I've really gotten my head off of the hcg mode, and I think it will be hard to start again. Basically, most of 2008 I was studying about hcg all the time, on the message boards, and books, until I finally felt like I knew everything--although I still can learn things, there's so much out there~! But now, it's so much easier being on phase 3 and 4 foods, as far as the family goes, eating out, etc. Actually, I still make a separate meal for me most of the time, because I'm also off breads and potatoes and refined carbs--although I do still have some carbs, like fruits and vegetables, and sweet potatoes, etc. So I really am doing fairly well.

Actually, last night I had to serve my family the last of the left-over birthday cake, and put scoops of ice cream on it, while we all watched American Idol. I really wanted some, but instead I got out my ChocoPerfection bar, and slowly let it melt in my mouth! It was great! It actually does taste like real chocolate, but without the sugar buzz, since it's sugar free! They are expensive, but I plan to try out a recipe, melting 2 bars of ChocoPerfection with 1 bar of Unsweetened Giradelli chocolate bars, and adding in some nuts and raisin! Whoo Hoo, that sounds so great! So far, I've just let the chocoperfection melt in my mouth, which is really good too. I recommend them!

Anyway, it's late again--so I'll keep you posted when I get ready to start again! Soon, hopefully! Take care, Merry
