Reflective thoughts and a few questions...

Hello fellow hcg-ers! I've been bad bad bad--both for not writing and also for not doing so well on phase 4. I think I need to stick with more phase 3 foods including fruits of course--because I can't seem to handle so many carbs.

Anyway, I was so excited that when I had that stomach flu I became so empty that I went right back down to LIW! Then somehow in the next two weeks (I think it was two) my weight started to climb. I'm up about 7 or 8 pounds from LIW now! Somehow I think the flu affected my hypothalamus. Not to say I didn't have any cheats, but the weight seemed to come back too fast! Okay for all you experts out there--if you get too far above your LIW, what do you do? Are you supposed to have a series of steak days or what? Or do you just have to wait until your next round?

It always amazed me that no matter how much I think I know about this protocol, there's always something new to learn! Anyway, the other bad news is that I think I'm going to wait until after Christmas to start my next phase 2--there are just too many holiday events coming up, and it just seems too hard to bring my own food and sit there watching everyone else! I was planning on doing it for one thing, but then another came up, and I decided, oh well, I guess I'll have to postpone it!

I do think that I will try a shorter round next time anyway--I think if I do 3-4 weeks, and then take 3 weeks off, and then do another 3-4 weeks, take another 3 or so off--I think if I try it like that I'll get some momentum built up again. I think if I do it this way, by next summer I should be very skinny! Which is what we want to achieve! And yes, I'm a little worried about immunity, but others have done it like this with no immunity problems. And I really believe that my inability to stabilize this round has a lot to do with me becoming immune BEFORE the 40 days even came. I think I lost some of the fat we don't want to lose in that last week because the hcg was no longer working--so the weight came back right away. I guess my only hope is to start again and get a good round in! Any advice anyone (especially Lori--do you have any suggestions?)

On the positive note, my sister Janelle is now happily in phase 3, after losing about 27 pounds doing the sublingual method! She feels and looks great--she doesn't/didn't have as much weight to lose as I do, so she probably will only have to do one more long round! Woo hoo! She feels a little guilty when she goes to her OA (Overeaters Anonymous) meetings, because they all tell her she looks so great, and how did she do it so fast. So far, she hasn't told them what she's doing--because this protocol is a bit different than the OA way to go. But I told her she must tell them--this is one way that REALLY works, and everyone should find out about it! By the way, if you're thinking of starting in the New Year, order your hcg now--there probably will be a flood of orders then, and it can take a month or longer for it to arrive.

After midnight again--hope this post shows up right away this time! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Until next time, Merry

Posts still showing up delayed?

Hi, again! Well, my last post didn't show up again, so who knows when this will be view-able? Anyway, my sister has now lost 22 pounds, and has been going up and down the same half pound--so she's thinking to quit by this Friday or so, which will be 40 days, or whenever her hcg runs out. It really is weird how we tend to lose a lot at the beginning of the round, and then it tapers off--so that's my rationale for doing the shorter round next time, starting on Thanksgiving day. I can just fit in about 23 days, so I'm hoping I can also lose about 23 pounds! Or at least 20? It's kind of exciting to realize it's now possible to plan like this!

I'm doing a few more "cheats" but technically since I'm in phase 4 I can add in some carbs. It really is interesting to me to note that when I have something with MSG or sugar in it, I actually do start craving later on! I really think a big key is for me to NOT have those items if at all possible! Kevin Trudeau really was right on in that way.

Well, it's getting late--hope my posts show up before Thanksgiving! Until next time, Merry

Back to Life...

Well, here I am a bit late again--the elections really threw me for a loop! But now they are over and it's time to get back to life.

The truth is, I haven't been doing all that well this week. First of all, I delved into the leftover Halloween candy a few times, which I really didn't need to do. Then, I haven't been weighing myself every morning--but I think I'm still fairly stable, even with the cheats. Still, I think starting the protocol again will be good for me. I still plan to start loading days on Thanksgiving and doing a short round between the two holidays.

Right now I'm also sick with some kind of stomach bug--wooo! Lots of cramps all day, since about 4 p.m., and it's 11:30 at night! I'm tired and want to go to bed, but I have to keep making those trips to the bathroom, so I'm delaying a bit.

My sister now reports that she's lost 22 pounds in about 30 days! Yay! She's doing sublingual, so will continue until her latest hcg batch is used up, probably about two more weeks or so. I'm happy for her!

Well, got to go--in more ways that one! Until next time, Merry

Just a quickie!

Well, I was glad to see the last 3 posts finally showed up. No one commented yet, so I guess people quit expecting me to write anything for a while! But I am more committed to my blogging now, so check back!

Anyway, my sister is in town now, and it's the first time I've seen her since she lost 17 pounds on the protocol. She still has a couple of weeks left too. She looks great! She doesn't have that gaunt, drawn look that people sometimes get when they lose weight quickly--a sign that the hcg is re-shaping the body properly. I'm proud of her!

I'm more and more determined to do a short round between Thanks giving and Christmas. It seems most weight is lost in the first 3 weeks, so why not do a sort round and make it count?

All the trick or treat candy is around, but so far I've avoided it. The only thing I've "cheated" on is bubble gum--lots and lots of bubble gum. At least its not candy! I noticed that with Halloween and the elections, I've been wanting to do too much nibbling. I at almost a whole can of macadamia nuts, and got a big tummy ache! Won't do that again! I want to learn how to make my own vegetable chips that I can grab when I'm craving something. Any recipes, anyone?

Well it's late again--but fortunately with the time change, it's not as late as I think! Have a great day, and thanks for reading! Until next time, Merry
