One year later!

Well, fans, it's down to just a few of us here. It's been a long haul, and I still have a lot more to go. But I couldn't go without noting that as of yesterday, April 26, it's been ONE FULL YEAR since I first started the protocol! Since then, I've done 3 long rounds of between 30-43 days each, and one short one of 23 days. My total weight loss, not counting the ups and down with loading and in between rounds--60 pounds! Yay!

Yes, I just finished another longer round of about 30 days, my fourth round (if you count that short one.) I lost about 17 pounds, but I hadn't stabilized in phase 3, so it didn't bring my total down that much. But still, I'm rejoicing in the fact that I feel so much better at 60 pounds lighter. Also, these weights that I've been passing through these last two rounds are all weights that I was at for longer periods of time--I'm sure that's partly why it's been a bit slower. Of course, I also added coconut oil this round, so maybe I would have lost more?

Anyway, I was planning to go a bit longer this time, but I'm fairly certain I hit immunity early again. I woke up one morning and realized I was really hungry! Then my dad was in the hospital so I just knew it was time to start the "evil 72" hours and go off the hcg. I'm thinking of switching to sublingual one of these days, so I can go longer without worrying about immunity, at least that's what people say! Also, the more rounds you go, the longer you are supposed to wait in between rounds, all because of immunity. It would be so much easier, in a way, to just go through and get it over with, like you do with most diets. But I know the stabilization period is also important.

Anyway, happy anniversary to all my fellow hcg challengers, who mostly have been dropping out or have finished the journey--but it's still significant that we made it this far past the milestone of starting hcg! Well, it's late, so until next time, Merry
